coffee filter jewelry

Used coffee filters are the featured material in the majority of Sara's jewelry designs. She collects the old filters from friends and family. The filters are rinsed and dried, leaving unique colors and patterns on each filter. They are then hand cut into various shapes, coated with a water-based sealer and finally hand sewn onto earring wire. Each piece is the result of careful craftsmanship and many moments of sipping coffee.
